Morning Song (Theme from The Stifling)

from As It Always Has Been (Demos) by Silverlode

about

This is the very first Silverlode track recorded for a university film project called The Stifling that Andy and Rob were working on. A piece of music and narration was needed to tie the thing together and so we enlisted the aid of Gaz (who had recently been in touch about forming a band). The narration is by Rob's old friend Joe who was the principle star of the film.

lyrics

Morning Song:

As the morning's half-light penetrates these dreams,
So too does the harsh reality of the day to come;

The bed sheets pin me down within the walls of my sanctuary
And thoughts meander slowly between the day's possibilities ---

There's the drudgery of my success,
And there's the colour I find in music.
