about

----------
Something of a happier memory is shown to the room; young love! Their initial meeting in the winter of 1913; their developing romance through the springtime; Henry’s proposition in that magical summer that followed, the Summer of Fourteen. However, it was a time that could not last and could never quite be recaptured as the future unfolded. A hasty marriage and baby boy, born soon thereafter and the panic that grips the hearts of men.

lyrics

I said, "Just kiss me. Kiss me with your eyes closed,
I know Saint Christopher won't care"
And later, I wrote a note in my notebook ---
I was hoping for some CONNECTION there, and the signals were good.

You said, “So kiss me, with your eyes closed
Tonight we head for the stars
I declare that these roads are ours, Love
And we will stop for no one there, oh, they'll try, but we won’t

I will remember your bod
From the first time, to the very last
Just kiss me, kiss me with your eyes closed
I wrote "tonight is the night", we fit like puzzle pieces at last.

Just kiss me. Kiss me with your eyes closed
Just kiss me. Kiss me with your eyes closed
Just kiss me. Kiss me with your eyes closed

I learned it’s easier to set to sail on the seas
Than to stay at home with a crying baby
So to my shame, I sought another path
I thought better that than turn out like my old man

Yes, I ran
For Dear Life
I ran
And I closed my eyes.
Tight.
