There’s a world outside your window You cannot taste or hear You’ve lockdown all your feelings Your company is dear Uncertainty is constant to keep you satisfied You won’t be a martyr so You just stay inside Save your love until it’s over for me Save your love until it’s over for me Going around in circles, I’m list stood beside myself I spend my time and wonder, am I in the best of health Uncertainty is constant to keep you satisfied You won’t be a martyr so You just stay inside Save your love until it’s over for me Save your love until it’s over for me Save your love until it’s over for me Save your love until it’s over for me

Shouldn't you be asleep little one? Curled up in a ball Instead you're stood at my feet little one Not worried about things at all Shouldn't you be asleep little one? Dreaming of days to come Of running through trees and picking up leaves In the blinding Autumn sun Sleep little one, dream little one Your time will come, just not right now Sleep little one, dream little one Shouldn't you be asleep little one ? Your bed is soft and warm The perfect place to rest your head And shelter from the storm Shouldn't you be asleep little one? Now winter's drawing near I'll tuck you in and say goodnight Rest your head my dear Sleep little one, dream little one Your time will come, just not right now Sleep little one, dream little one Shhhhhhhh……. When you dream, tell me how you want it to be, Dancing with the faces that you’re longing to see. Please don’t worry you will have the same dream as me, So dream. Dream. Dream.

Great Escape 02:44
One chance and I’m going to get out of here One chance and I’m going to call for help One chance and I’m going to get out of here Kill the guards and take the keys myself It’s been seven days And I can feel the membrane break I need to feel some sunlight on my skin There are many ways I need to count my blessings, Babe But I can feel my patience running thin One chance and I’m going to get out of here One chance and I’m going to call for help One chance and I’m going to get out of here Kill the guards and take the keys myself So, I like gardening DIY and music things But I don’t feel inspired much at all I need to keep my focus, man I need to work on my big plans Once I’ve come back down from the walls One chance and I’m going to get out of here One chance and I’m going to call for help One chance and I’m going to get out of here Kill the guards and take the keys myself One chance and I’m going to get out of here One chance and I’m going to call for help One chance and I’m going to get out of here Kill the guards and take the keys myself

about

The devil makes work for idle hands. So stay occupied. Work out how to use technology to connect from our homes and then honk out some spontaneous pop songs; that’s how Silverlode Escape The Plague.

You’ll have your own methods I’m sure --- in between the things you still have to do, such as limp along in your job from your box room while the rest of the world grinds to a halt; educate and entertain your children at home less they turn entirely feral; forage and brave the supermarkets for supplies; or maybe you are a key worker and you’re not at home where you might like to be (thank you, all of you). Maybe you are juggling a mix of all that at once. Stay safe, stay connected.

about

Silverlode Leeds, UK

Silverlode is a folksome indie rock band from Leeds.

A folk band in the broadest sense of the word; dogs of pop; self-taught musical ruffians who play to their own traditions. Reinventors of self and prone to playing their songs in a myriad of ways, join Silverlode on their mythological journey through history, future, fantasy and good times via their ever-evolving music.

DIY since 2001.
